2008 Summer Meeting
The 2008 Summer Meeting will be held at Four Points by Sheraton in Ft. Walton Beach , Florida , June 19-21, 2008.
This year’s speaker will be Dr. Rick Alleman. Dr. Alleman practiced veterinary medicine in a clinical small-animal practice for nine years in New Orleans . He became a diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (companion animal specialty) in 1987 and was recertified in 1997 and 2007. Dr. Alleman completed residency training in clinical pathology and his PhD in molecular biology of tick-transmitted diseases, both at the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine. He is currently a professor of clinical pathology at the University of Florida , College of Veterinary Medicine . This session is being sponsored by IDEXX.

The LVMA group rate at the hotel is available until Monday, May 19, 2008. Room rates for Thursday, June 19 through Saturday, June 21 is $189.00 for kings and $195.00 for courtyard. To make a reservation please call the Four Points by Sheraton at (850) 243-8116. Please make sure to indicate that you are part of the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association to ensure you receive the group rate. Please call by Monday, May 19, 2008.
Eight hours of continuing education will be provided at the meeting.
